Month Over Month Sales in May 2020 were 125% Higher than April 

Are you happy to be out of lockdown, we are!! We hope you are doing well and staying healthy as we see the days get longer allowing for more time to each day to enjoy our beautiful mountain playground. We have been excited to see the market picking up and buyers making buying decisions and more options coming to the market keeping buyers excited.

With the Pandemic putting most of the spring activity on hold we are seeing a big increase in sales from April to May with sales volume up to 125% month over month. Also, our listing inventory is being refreshed which is helping buyers that have been waiting for the right home. We have seen a few multiple offers for high demand, well-priced properties as well. The typical triggers that have slowed down the market in the past, being the seasonal end of school, stampede and Summer holidays we feel have changed, and because of that we are expecting the market activity to continue through the summer. Halfway through the month of June and the combined conditional and unconditional sales almost matches the sales for all of May with multiple offers in the last 10 days which in the best of markets would be considered very high activity.

With all of Alberta in Phase 2 now we are happy to see business’ opening up further. We have seen the Town of Canmore and the Town of Banff create pedestrian-only main streets allowing more space for people and to be more welcoming to the travellers which of course will be mostly from Canada until the boarders open again.
